Glorifying God by fulfilling the Great Commission is the mission of Harvest Bible Chapel, and all the ministries of the church support and serve that mission. This means that each ministry, from preaching to small groups to Harvest Kids, exists to make and equip disciples. Both participating in ministry and serving in these ministry areas are essential elements of discipleship at Harvest.

Worshiping in Spirit

At Harvest, corporate worship is highly participatory. We invite people to worship with passion and energy. Scripture allows for a great deal of freedom in worship (clapping, kneeling, raising hands, etc.), but we should never lose sight of the object of our worship—we worship God through Jesus Christ in the Holy Spirit. Emotions are an acceptable part of worship, but should never be manipulated or fabricated, nor should they interrupt or disrupt corporate worship. Healthy and appropriate expressions of emotion are part of what it means to worship genuinely in the Spirit.

Worshiping in Truth

The Bible is the ultimate authority when it comes to worship. At Harvest, we strive to worship in truth—the truth of who God is as revealed in Scripture. Strict attention is paid to theological content, ensuring that every lyric that is sung, every word spoken, and every art form expressed is biblically sound and supported. We also look to God’s Word to discern how God desires to be worshiped rather that follow the wisdom of man or the latest cultural fad.

Harvest Bible Chapel is focused on the quality of its discipleship. Therefore, Harvest isn't just a church with small groups; we're a church of small groups. We encourage those in our fellowship to "get connected" by plugging into one of our small groups. These groups minister to and encourage one another in daily devotionals, effective prayer, and mutual accountability. This is where the church lives out being the church, building one another up and speaking the truth in love.

Harvest Kids will serve to help parents raise kids who love Jesus. We do this by proclaiming the Gospel to children while they attend church on Sundays and by providing resources that parents can use as they nurture faith at home. We believe God has charged parents with the discipleship of your children. We're here to walk with you in that! Our time together on Sunday will feature age-appropriate large group worship and teaching, coupled with small group time which is led by dedicated volunteers who help the children further explore and apply the truths of God’s Word.
